Ice Cream Theme Birthday Party
I love a great theme for kids birthday parties! Leo recently turned 5 and was asking to have an ice cream party. Even though his birthday is in November and we live in chilly Michigan, it was fun to put this theme together for him. We called his birthday party “Sundae Funday.”
This was a really easy birthday party theme to pull off, as we planned it for the afternoon and the activity also doubled as the food for the party. The kids (and even adults!) had a great time making their own sundaes, choosing their toppings, and celebrating Leo.
When I start to plan a birthday party theme, I’ll create a Pinterest board and start saving ideas. This way I have it organized and can see what will work well together. From there, I’ll also check out Etsy for creative and fun prints, games, and decor. I wound up buying these editable files for Leo’s birthday invitations and welcome sign.
For this party, we played Pin the Cherry on Top of The Sundae, which turned out very cute. You can purchase the digital print here and have it printed at your local Staples or Office Max.
The ice cream birthday cake was my favorite part. I sent a few photos to a local bakery and they absolutely knocked it out of the park with this fondant topper and sprinkle details. The funfetti flavor was also delicious.
