The latest room on our home tour is Leo’s Pottery Barn inspired boys bedroom! Moving into this home, we changed Leo’s nursery into a little boys bedroom and it was so much fun! You can check out his nursery design in one of our past homes here. Along with the rest of our home, the style is preppy and neutral, scroll down for our top picks!
Pottery Barn Boys Bedroom Inspiration
My favorite go to stores are Pottery Barn, Serena & Lily, & Home Goods. One of my best tips when decorating is to choose pieces that can grow with your family or be used in multiple rooms. Because we chose a dresser over a changing table, we were able to repurpose his furniture without needing to buy new.
We bought a king bed for our bedroom and moved our queen sleigh bed frame into Leo’s room. He loves having a big bed, and it works great when he needs some cuddles before falling asleep. I can already see the boys having sleepovers together in the future!
The wall library is something we have created in each of our homes, and I absolutely love it. Although it is hard for us to get Leo to concentrate on books the majority of the time, we still want to encourage reading! I change out the books based on season or holiday to keep them fresh. The Mosslanda shelves are from Ikea and are placed 12 inches apart.
We painted his room Sherwin Williams Light French Gray, and the color is absolutely beautiful. It is a gorgeous neutral that looks incredible against white trim.
The decor is always my favorite part. Pottery Barn has a great selection of boys bedroom ideas. The “yachtopus” sheets are so fun, and this Pottery Barn multi dot rug has worked in his nursery as well as little boys room.
