Spring is finally here! Although March 20th brought snow to West Michigan, thankfully warmer weather is finally on its way. I’m sharing my Top 10 Spring Wardrobe Essentials – items every woman should have in their closet as staples. The great part about these items is that they can mix and match several ways and last throughout the seasons – just add in accessories, or on trend tops to create a new look.
Top 10 Spring Wardrobe Essentials
1. White Jeans
I absolutely love wearing white jeans and think anyone can pull them off longer than just Memorial Day to Labor Day. I love the brand AG because they are long, not at all see-through (a must for anything white!), and a really great quality. They hold up well in the wash and keep their shape throughout the day-no stretching out to the point you’re consistently pulling them up.
2. Nude Sandals and Wedges
I live in nude shoes almost year round and think wedges are great for both work and play. The wedges below can also be found at Nordstrom, but they’re almost $40 cheaper at TJ Maxx! I also love a quality pair of sandals that will last throughout the seasons.
3. Denim Jacket
A denim jacket can be worn in so many different ways and is a great layering piece for Spring. It’s a great item to bring with you to put over a tee, cotton dress, or worn with white denim.
4. Striped Tee
A great striped tee is a perfect spring staple and pairs well with white denim, shorts, tied and paired with a fun skirt, or casual with ripped jeans and converse. I love any variation of navy and white stripes.
5. Shawl
Now that I’m in my 30’s, I guess I’m recommending every lady own a shawl! This one is perfect to bring on a date to throw over your shoulders, or to a wedding for cocktail hour or late at night. I love that this one can be dressed up or down and comes in three muted but pretty colors: gray, pink, and black.
6. Ripped Denim
I love distressed denim for Spring. It can be really cute with a tee or tank and sandals or converse, or dressed up more with wedges and a blazer.
7. Gray Tee
This t shirt is my absolute favorite-probably because of the jersey fabric and how comfortable it is! It doesn’t wrinkle easily and comes in 9 colors. A great basic!
8. Chambray Dress
I think a chambray dress is super cute for Spring and flattering on every body type and skin color. Its cute on its own but also adorable with a chunky sweater over it on cooler days and nights.
9. Spring Dress
No closet is complete without a fun spring dress. Floral prints are obviously always in for Spring, and a mixture of floral and stripes is an awesome combination.
10. Trench Coat
A great trench is always in style! I love a classic neutral, which pairs so well with white, denim, navy, and black, and mustard yellow, but a navy or green trench is a great alternative as well!
