I’ve been looking for something for the front porch for some time now. Although I love and admire the Pinterest-worthy front porch displays for each holiday or season, complete with pumpkins, gourds, and hay barrels for fall, then sleds and skates for winter, I don’t seem to have the time to keep up with it myself.
I recently came across this adorable hand painted wreath for the front door! It is a magnet, so if you have a metal door, it can go right on without a tied ribbon and suction cup. Since I have a wood and glass door, I bought a suction cup for about a dollar and hung the black and white polka dot ribbon from there.
BUY: green wreath art, large white star, black and white star (3 pack)
The front of the wreath could be left plain, or you can purchase different magnets (of all sizes and shapes) for each holiday, season, life event, etc. There are SO many choices! I started with a few stars as the every day look for the front door, but also picked up a few different magnets to change out for fall and winter.
BUY: give thanks, turkey
BUY: snowman, joy
Here are some options for Spring and Summer I have my eye on:
BUY: sailboat, mason jar flowers, I love Lake Michigan
The artist, Carol Roeda, local to Grand Rapids, also makes large magnets like the wreath, in different shapes that could be used on their own to change out too. Here are a few of my favorites:
The wreath magnet art is definitely going on my Holiday Gift Guide for Her this year and you can bet that once the Emerald&Oak boutique opens, we’ll be stocking this line!
