One of the things I love about the house is that the laundry is on the main floor. I love the accessibility of it and find it so much easier to keep up with.
The laundry area is located off a short hallway from the dining room and is right next to our half bath.
BEFORE:
Here is the single photo I have of the laundry room from the listing:
As you can tell, this area was really lacking some storage (as is the whole house!) This area gets a lot of traffic as the half bath is there and the side door leading to the side porch.
AFTER:
This is the hallway leading from the dining room to the laundy room area. We continued the color from our dining room into the laundry room area.
I LOVE this rug. Canan and I picked this one out from Mason Jones, a local boutique. He then replaced the paper lantern lighting with this gorgeous chandelier.
Canan really outdid himself on this project. He found these cabinets from a friend and screwed in the pulls I picked up from Home Goods. We found the cabinet with drawer in between the washer and dryer from Home Depot, and had them cut a shelf to size to fit on top. I spray painted it to match the white and then just glued it on top. It was so easy!
Canan cut and hung the shelf so we could have a little more storage for laundry detergent as well as some décor. I’m not really sure how to decorate it or what to put on it–I’d love your suggestions!
