I may hail from Beer City U.S.A., but lately I’ve been experimenting more with fun cocktails. I love a warm, earthy red wine and will never turn down a lawnmower beer or a flight from a local brewery, but there’s something about crafting a flavorful and unexpected cocktail that has become a really fun and delicious hobby.
Here are my favorites:
Moscow Mule
By now, everyone has probably had a Moscow Mule. It is one of my favorites and a go-to order when out with friends. Hands down, way better than ordering a vodka soda. (You can find copper mugs at Home Goods for $9.99.)
Ingredients:
Vodka (I prefer Belvedere or Grey Goose)
Ginger Beer (Fentiman’s is fantastic)
Lime Juice
Lime Garnish
Buddha’s Palm
This cocktail is intense and absolutely incredible! I first ordered this at Hakkasan in Las Vegas and have recreated it a few times at home. It is a bit of an investment to get all the ingredients, but it is so delicious you won’t regret it.
Ingredients:
Buffalo Trace Bourbon
Velvet Falernum
Yuzu Juice and marmalade
Black Grapes
White Balsamic Vinegar
Mint
Elderflower Collins
This cocktail is perfect for outdoor sipping.
Ingredients:
Ruffino Prosecco
St. Germain (so versatile for crafting any cocktail!)
Aperol
Lime Juice
Rhubarb Bitters
Garnish with Lime
What is your favorite cocktail? I’d love to hear what you’re making/ordering this Spring!
I’ll be over for an Elderflower Collins tomorrow 😉
